I have read the letters in this paper about the "Good Samaritan," and I have read with disgust the people writing in to support the lady who whipped her child. I'm starting to wonder what's wrong with these people.
If I am correct, they believe that if a child misbehaves he is to be hit and subjected to violence. What if I saw these parents doing something wrong and I walked up to them and hit them? That is against the law. Why is it all right to hit a child? Is it because they are too small to fight back or to press charges? Think about it.
There are a lot of ways to discipline a child and to teach them right from wrong. Violence is used by those parents who don't know how to be parents and have to resort to violence to get their way.
