Members of the Harrodsburg Rotary Club were asked what is the most frustrating thing about being a University of Kentucky sports fan at their meeting last week. Here are responses from those Kentucky fans who answered the question:
Michael Keller: "For me, the most difficult part of being a UK sports fan is the chronic poor performance of the football program."
Vance Smith:" "Most frustrating times are when Tubby (Smith) calls a timeout when things aren't going well and nothing changes after the timeout. And no recruiting!"
Bruce Petrie: "Football - our continuous propensity to find innovative ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory."
David Smith: "Football - who is the coach at UK? The A.D. (athletics director)?"
Louis Kerrick: "Frustrating and somewhat insulting are the endless requests and pleas from the UK athletic department for more funds "so we can be competitive." Once funds are collected and we build "some of the best facilities" around the country, our Wildcats teams don't have better win-loss records. How long can we Wildcat supporters and fans be fooled?"
