HARRODSBURG - Two people were arrested Thursday evening in connection with a kidnapping and beating complaint.
According to a press release from the Harrodsburg Police Department, victim Travis Settles, 26, of Beaumont Avenue, filed a complaint Wednesday about the incident, which he said took place at 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 23. Settles told police he was kidnapped at gunpoint from his home and taken into the county and beaten.
Philip M. Woodard, 32, 615 Chimney Rock Road, and Joshua B. Bartley, 20, 1495 Kennedy Bridge Road, were arrested Thursday and charged with kidnapping. They remain in the Boyle County Detention Center.
The initial report was filed with the Mercer Sheriff's Office, and deputies joined with Harrodsburg Police in the investigation. Search warrants were executed in Burgin Thursday afternoon.
