It started as only sales in the so-called grill at Old Bridge Golf Course; now they want Sunday sales and they want to be able to sell until 11 p.m. each day. Remember they said, "We'll only sell when golfers are there." To me, that means they close at dark. Unless they've added night lights for playing golf, why would they need to be open till 11 p.m.?
They say they are afraid they'll lose business if they aren't allowed to sell on Sunday. Yet in the same breath, they say Sunday is their busiest day. If that's the case, they don't need beer sales at all. Why would that change?
The other thing is that these changes were not given to the magistrates until the meeting started Tuesday. Not one of them had a chance to study the proposal. The public was not notified, to my knowledge, that this change was going to be introduced at this meeting, so no one was there to speak against it. Yet it seems those for it were notified and were there to speak for it.
