The Centre College men and women closed the regular season Saturday with dual meet wins over Asbury at Boles Natatorium.

The Centre women finished with a dual-meet record of 7-4, while the men were 6-5, marking the first time since 1994 that both teams have had winning seasons.

"I'm pretty happy with the success we've seen this year," Centre coach Dean Brownley said. "I feel like we're going into conference pretty primed to have a good performance."

The men outscored Asbury 143-32, while the women won 118-74.

Centre's men began their day with a 1-2 finish in the medley relay. Other winners included Rob Goff in the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle, Stephen Calender in the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley, Andrew Weitze in the 200 freestyle, Will Adams in the 100 freestyle, J.P. Isele in the 100 butterfly and Dustin Schulten in 1-meter diving.

The women were led by Sarah Conrad, who was part of the winning medley relay team (Centre teams finished 1-2), won the 50 freestyle and swam a season-best time to finish second in the 100 freestyle.

Other women's winners included Michelle Swiderski in the 1,000 freestyle and Ellie Guy in the 200 freestyle.

"We got on them early and didn't let up very much," Brownley said.
