Community education classes offered

Boyle County Community Education Program is offering the following classes. For more information or to register, call (859) 239-8986.

Advanced Excel - 8-11 a.m. Feb. 9 and 11 at Kentucky School for the Deaf. Instructor is Ryan Dawson.

Power Point Level II - 1-4 p.m. Feb. 9 and 11 at KSD. Instructor is Beth Hayes.

Introduction to Word - 1-4 p.m. Feb. 10 and 12 at KSD. Instructor is Tim Downey.

Advanced Access - 5:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and 12 at Central Kentucky Technical College. Instructor is Clovis Perry.

Introduction to Windows - 6-8 p.m. Feb. 10 and 12 at Boyle County Middle School. Instructor is D.J. Smith.

Computers for Senior Citizens - 9-10:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at KSD. Instructor is Beth Hayes.

Grandparents' Computer Classes -Danville Schools: 11 a.m. to noon Feb. 13 at KSD. Boyle County Schools: 12:30-1:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at KSD. Instructor is Beth Hayes. Register at child's school.


REIKI - 6-7 p.m. Thursday at KSD. Instructor is Laura Caddell.

Understanding Personal, Auto and Homeowners Insurance Policies - Feb. 10 and 17 at Boyle County Middle School. Instructor is Charleston Brown.

Voice Lessons - Feb. 12, 19, 16 and March 4 at Boyle County Middle School. Instructor is Aprile Hunt.

ACT test to be given

College-bound high school students can take the ACT assessment April 3, the next nationwide test date. The registration postmark deadline is Feb. 27. The test fee is $26. Late registration postmark deadline is March 12, but an additional fee is required for late registration.

Tonight's special meeting of the Lancaster City Council and Garrard Fiscal Court to discuss funding for the county's 911 center begins at 6:30 at City Hall. The time was wrong in Sunday's paper.


Danville City Commission - 8 a.m. Tuesday in the city hall conference room to hear a presentation by Brandstetter-Carroll.

Casey Fiscal Court - Meeting scheduled tonight has been cancelled. The next regular meeting will be 5 p.m. Feb. 16 at the courthouse.|None***
