HARRODSBURG - The girls basketball coach at Harrodsburg High School has been released on bond following his arrest Tuesday on charges of first-degree sexual abuse.
Bryan Tolliver, 32, of 111 S. Greenville St., turned himself in at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Harrodsburg Police Department Detective Bobby Durham said a female juvenile's mother swore out an arrest warrant.
Durham said today that sexual abuse is touching in an inappropriate place. The warrant charges that Tolliver touched the female juvenile in an inappropriate place and forced her to touch him in an inappropriate place. The incident allegedly occurred in February 2003.
The juvenile no longer attends Harrodsburg schools, Durham said. Tolliver posted 10 percent of the $5,000 bond early this morning and was released from the Boyle County Detention Center.
