The sidewalks on Third Street, near the proposed parking garage, would be replaced and utilities relocated to North Second if the city receives a federal grant.

Heart of Danville will hold a public meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday to solicit comments about its Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century grant application.

Written comments will also be accepted at the meeting.

Chili supper

LANCASTER - Garrard County High School baseball boosters will host a chili supper from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Friday in the high school cafeteria. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The supper is being held when the basketball teams play Boyle County.
