I am frustrated! Our signs at the two entrances to the Wilderness Trace Townhouses have twice been vandalized. They were produced by a local sign shop at a cost of $1,024 and were very nice signs. The first vandalism took place on the night of Nov. 18. The signs were badly damaged, but we were able to repair them. They were not like new, but they were presentable. The incident was reported and a written report was made by the local police department. To our knowledge, your paper did not report the incident.
Again, on Jan. 27, the signs were vandalized. One sign was totally destroyed and the other broken in half. The local police were again called and a report was filed. I called The Advocate-Messenger twice in hopes that you might photograph the destroyed signs and bring attention to this unrestricted vandalism. However, your only response was a short poorly worded three lines in your Jan. 30 edition.
