Woodlawn Elementary wins Governor's Cup

Woodlawn Elementary School won the District 70 Governor's Cup Saturday at Jennie Rogers Elementary School.

Woodlawn scored 51 points. Toliver Elementary School was second with 25 points. Hogsett Elementary School took third with 22 points. Jennie Rogers Elementary School was fourth with 21 points.

These are the winners:

Mathematics: first, Jennifer Harris, Woodlawn; second, Jonathan Kenyon, Toliver; third, James Ross, Woodlawn; fourth, Max Meckes, Hogsett; and fifth, Cody Henson, Woodlawn.

Social studies: first, Ethan Robinson, Jennie Rogers; second, Austin Yates, Woodlawn; third, Stacy Nesselrote, Jennie Rogers; fourth, Jennifer Harris, Woodlawn; and fifth, Will Dunn, Hogsett.


Science: first, Rachel Newcomb, Hogsett; second, James Ross, Woodlawn; Trevor Coyle, Hogsett; fourth, Nick Tiemeyer, Toliver; and fifth, John Stone, Woodlawn.

Language arts: first, tie between Anne Wilson, Toliver, and CeCe Witten, Woodlawn; third, Mia Starcevic, Hogsett; fourth, Courtney Ballard, Toliver; fifth, three-way tie among Ellie Graham, Toliver, Nia Stallworth, Hogsett, and Ramla Ijaz, Woodlawn.

Composition: first, Madeline Salinas, Jennie Rogers; second, Mason Lyverse, Woodlawn; third, Ramla Ijaz, Woodlawn; fourth, Kaitlin Snapp, Jennie Rogers; and fifth, Ethan Robinson, Jennie Rogers.

Arts and humanities: first, Dowell Harmon, Woodlawn; second, Ellie Graham, Toliver; third, Rachel Newcomb, Hogsett; fourth, Andrea Ayrora, Jennie Rogers; and fifth, Diamond Pace, Toliver.

Future Problem Solving Team: tie for first between Toliver and Woodlawn.

The regional Governor's Cup will be March 6.
