Two people have been arrested and charged with breaking into Perryville Elementary School Jan. 14.
Buddy Davis, 23, of Perryville, and Joey Graham, 19, of 3755 Alum Springs Road, were charged Friday with burglary, criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking more than $300 and possession of burglary tools.
Boyle County Detective Marty Elliott said the pair are accused of using a hatchet at 1:30 a.m. to break through a back door in the school. Once inside, Elliott said they allegedly caused approximately $6,000 in damages, and stole computer equipment and cash. Elliott said some of the equipment has been recovered.
Elliott said the pair also sat down to eat a bowl of cereal while in the school.
Elliott said Det. Bob Williamson of the Danville Police Department assisted with fingerprint investigation in the case. Both men are lodged in the Boyle Detention Center. Bond has been set at $30,000 for Graham; bond has not yet been set for Davis.
