Lancaster's Paul Vandyke thought Georgia would beat No. 8 Kentucky Saturday and that's one reason he won the Popeyes Beat the Experts Basketball Contest.
Vandyke was off just three points on the tiebreaker score and that enabled him to beat three other contestants who also had eight games right in last week's contest.
Vandyke wins a 12-piece chicken dinner from Popeyes and is now eligible for the season-ending grand prize contest.
Sports editor Larry Vaught led The Advocate-Messenger's panel of experts with seven correct choices.
Those who beat the best expert to win a 2-piece chicken dinner from Popeyes were as follows:
Eight right - Cecilia Vandyke, Lancaster; Everett Floyd, Lancaster; and Ralph Vandyke, Lancaster.
Seven - Randy Kemplin, Danville; Tommye Owens, Danville; Holly Peak, Lancaster; Jeffrey Broaddus, Lancaster; Kevin Lay, Danville; and Lavenia Brammer, Danville.
