Heart of Danville moving to Main Street

February 17, 2004

Heart of Danville will move to 100 E. Main St., Row House No. 1, at Constitution Square on March 15.

In a letter to its members, the organization said that it had outgrown its space at the McClure-Barbee House.

The group said that it has long wanted to be downtown, in the central business district, but didn't want to take first floor retail space. That "would be against our goals of bringing more retail to Main Street," according to the letter.

The new location is in Fisher's Row at Constitution Square State Historic Site.

"We are enthused to be moving ... back to downtown, Main Street location," officials said.
