Danville board to meet Monday

The Danville Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Danville High School. The agenda includes the awarding of diplomas to veterans and consideration of the district calendar for 2004-05.

Anyone wishing to have the meeting interpreted for the deaf may call the board office at (859) 238-1300 to arrange for an interpreter.

Stanford P&Z changes meeting date

STANFORD - The regular meeting of Stanford Planning and Zoning Commission has been changed from Feb. 26 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall.

Workshops set on raising children

FRANKFORT - A series of workshops are being held to help grandparents and families learn about issues related to raising children.

The "Grandparents Raising Grandchildren" conferences provide information about guardianship, visitation, custody, and public benefit programs.

The workshops are sponsored by the state Office of Aging Services' Kentucky KinCare Project, which assists grandparent caregivers and participating area development districts.

The March sessions are:
