Elvia Robinson

Elvia Gladys Robinson, 92, of Lancaster Road, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ruth Pflum

LANCASTER - Ruth Pflum, 87, of Lancaster, died Saturday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Jan. 19, 1917, in Vanberg, S.C., she was the daughter of Albert G. and Jerilee Sandifer Hicks. She was a secretary in Garrard County for more than 10 years and a homemaker. She was a member of Lancaster Baptist Church.

She was the widow of Chris T. Pflum.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Pflum of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bob Pflum of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a brother, Virgil Hicks of Hilton Head, S.C.


Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Copping. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.


Nancibel Rogers

Services for Nancibel Riffe Rogers, 76, of Pleasantwood Drive, will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) by the Revs. Norman Hagley and Lance Perry. Burial will be private.

She died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born April 9, 1925, in Somerset, she was the daughter of the late Julian C. and Carabel Irving Riffe. She was the former owner of Riffemoor Antiques and Nancibel Williams Interiors. She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Survivors include her husband, W. Scott Rogers; a daughter, Julie Ballard of Louisville; a stepdaughter, Donna Jo Rogers of Lexington; one stepson, Wicliffe Scott Rogers III of Danville; a granddaughter; and four step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Thomas A. Christopher, Edward L. Pass, David F. Larson, James G. Sheehan, Joseph C. Martin, Robert F. Kirkpatrick and Gregory L. Barnard.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. today at her residence at 440 Pleasantwood Dr., Danville.

Memorials may go to Heart of Kentucky United Way, 118 N. Third St., Danville 40422; First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 555 E. Lexington Ave., Danville 40422; and The Galilean Children's Home, P. O. Box 880, Liberty 42539.
