Circuit Court Judge Jeff Burdette, who serves the Lincoln, Pulaski and Rockcastle Judicial Circuit, was honored Feb. 17 by the Kentucky County Attorney Association in Frankfort.
Burdette, who was recently appointed by Gov. Ernie Fletcher, was recognized by the association for his excellent service for the past 10 years as Rockcastle attorney and his outstanding service to the state County Attorney Association as member of the board of directors and chairman of the legislative committee.
The association passed a special resolution honoring Burdette, and a presentation was made at its annual meeting and luncheon.
"He will be missed," said Harold "Mac" Johns, president of the association. "He was committed and faithful to our efforts, both as chairperson of our legislative committee and as board member."
Until his recent appointment to the Circuit Court bench, Burdette had been a member of the association since 1994 and was director for the past two years.
