Casey man arrested on warrant

LIBERTY - Terry Leach, 32, of Waynesburg, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for a theft charge, police said.

Leach also was charged with possession of a controlled substance at the time of this arrest by Casey County Deputy Sheriff Chad Weddle.

The warrant stated that Leach aided and abetted with another person to commit a theft by unlawful taking. They are accused of taking a hay tedder, owed by Tracy Elliott. The machinery was valued at $2,650.

Leach was lodged in Casey County Detention Center.

Two face theft charges

LIBERTY - John Luttrell, 33, of Snake Ridge Road, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for receiving stolen property under $300. He is accused of having possession of a Delta miter saw that he knew had been stolen from Joseph Lucas and taken from his property Feb. 17. The saw, valued at $75, allegedly was sold to Jeff Shoopman.


Deputy Sheriffs Chad Weddle and Bob Weddle made the arrest.

In an unrelated incident, Cynthia Dean, 37, 1056 Peyton Ridge Road, Liberty, was arrested Tuesday with theft by unlawful taking.

She is accused of taking a Playstation and games, and a television. The items have been recovered.
