Geneva R. Becknell
NICHOLASVILLE - Geneva Reynolds Becknell, 89, died Monday at St. Joseph East Hospital.
She was born Dec. 5, 1914, on Poosey Ridge in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lizzie Collins Reynolds and the widow of Andrew Becknell. She was a member of Nicholasville Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Muncy of Moreland, and Sheila McCuddy; a sister, Eudel Reynolds Kurtz; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home by the Rev. Bobby Becknell. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Bady and Brent Muncy, Andrew Baines, Duane and Chase McCuddy and Lester Watts.
Honorary pallbearers are Milton Stinnett, Gayle Moss, Lyda Benson, Robert Miller and Sam O'Connell.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today.

Ina V. Hafley
LIBERTY - Ina Virginia Hafley, 58, of Nicholasville, died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born Aug. 3, 1945, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Wethington Hafley. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, David and Donnie Hafley, both of Nicholasville; two sisters, Emma Humphrey of Wilmore and JoAnn Boggs of Nicholasville; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Johnny Montgomery. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David, Donnie, Eddie and Johnny Hafley, Steven Montgomery and Jonathan Madden.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at Bartle Funeral Home.
WAYNESBURG - Lema McMullin, 94, of Cincinnati, formerly of Waynesburg, died Tuesday in Ohio. Arrangements are incomplete at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home.

Services for Lena Mae Istre Hudson, 83, formerly of Baton Rouge, La., will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Robenhorst Funeral Home, Baton Rouge. Burial will be in Green Oaks Cemetery.
She died Sunday at Charleston Health Care Center, Danville.
Born May 7, 1920, in Baton Rouge, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Annie Fruge Istre. She was a bookkeeper and the widow of Henry I. Hudson.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne H. Henderson of Danville and Gayle H. Cimino of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Carroll Istre of Sliddell, La.; a sister, Martha Racca of Jennings, La.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Thursday in Baton Rouge.

Serenity P. Davis
WAYNESBURG - Serenity Paige Davis, 3-month-old daughter of John and Ella Haney Davis of Pine Knot, died Sunday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. She was born Nov. 6, 2003, in Somerset.
Other survivors include two brothers, Jonathan Tyler Davis and Seth Ryan Davis, both of Pine Knot; grandparents, Kathleen and Doyle Davis Jr. of Stanford, Carl Bess of Pine Knot and Arleen Bess of Bellevue; great-grandparents, Pauline and Doyle Davis Sr. of Stanford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by the Rev. Max Hester. Burial will be in Gooch Cemetery.

LANCASTER - Services for Joetta Lane Denny, 86, of Perryville Road, Harrodsburg, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Barry Jeffries, Jerry Browning and Leroy Davis. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 1, 1917, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Nannie Adkinson Lane. She was a retired employee of the former Palm Beach Co. in Danville, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and attended Harrodsburg Senior Citizens. She was the widow of Willie P. Denny.
