A Harrodsburg woman sought in five counties for writing forged checks turned herself in recently in Mercer County.
Danville Detective A.J. Mullins said Cheyenne Melinda Dennis, 39, of 906 Manns Road, Harrodsburg, turned herself in last week after warrants were issues in Boyle and Mercer counties.
"She's also wanted in Nelson, Marion and Bullitt counties on similar charges," said Mullins. She was indicted Feb. 18 by a Nelson County grand jury, and Mullins said she understands Dennis could be indicted again by Bardstown Police in March.
Dennis was charged in Boyle County with 12 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and one count of theft of identity of another without consent. She has been lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center since her surrender.
