The Centre College music program will sponsor a free piano recital featuring Donald A. Zent, professor of piano at Asbury College, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Gillespie Recital Hall on the Centre campus.

Zent will perform works of Haydn, Ellington, Bolcom, Granados and Chopin. Additionally, he will give a public master class 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the recital hall.

Elizabeth Wolfe, instructor of piano at Centre, says, "It is with great pleasure that Centre College will be welcoming Dr. Donald Zent, a pianist with both virtuosic and lyrically expressive command of the piano repertoire. Dr. Zent's playing is engaging and his artistry is superb."

A piano soloist and accompanist, Zent holds three degrees in piano performance: bachelor of music and master of music, both from Indiana University, and doctor of musical arts from College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.
