Being perfect wasn't enough to win last week's Popeyes Beat the Experts Basketball Contest.
Six contestants each got all 10 games right. Danville's Vernocia Neal was the closest on the tiebreaker score of Louisville's victory over Memphis to win the contest. She'll receive a 12-piece chicken dinner from Popeyes and is now eligible for the season-ending grand prize contest.
Monica Burns led The Advocate-Messenger's panel of experts by also getting all 10 games right.
Each contestant with 10 right beat Burns on the tiebreaker score to win a 2-piece chicken dinner from Popeyes. Those who beat the best expert were as follows: Scott Coleman, Lancaster; Johnny Raines, Danville; Jeremy Potts, Danville; Robert Broaddus, Lancaster; and Bill Zagar, Danville.
