The sexual abuse trial for the former president of the Boyle/Mercer County Task Force on Child Abuse has been scheduled for Aug. 24 in Boyle Circuit Court.
Circuit Judge Darren Peckler set the trial date in a hearing Tuesday.
Hoeck, 27, of 9231 Perryville Road, was indicted June 19, 2003, on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of first-degree criminal abuse, all of a male under 12 years old.
One of the alleged sexual abuses and the alleged criminal abuse occurred between May 15, 1997, and May 6, 1998. The second count of sexual abuse is alleged to have occurred between July 1, 2000, and April 15, 2001.
The sexual abuse charges are Class D felonies, which carry a mandatory sentence of 1-5 years in prison, according to the commonwealth's attorney's office. The criminal abuse count is a Class C felony, which carries a mandatory 5-10 year prison sentence.
