Lennie Winfough

Lennie Winfough, 100, of Bluegrass Pike, died Thursday at her home. Arrangements are incomplete at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Gene R. Adkins

COLQUITT, Ga. - Gene Rollins Adkins, 73, of Colquitt, died Tuesday at his home.

Born Nov. 11, 1930, in Shelby County, he was a retired teacher and owner of a carpet business. He was a deacon at Colquitt First Baptist Church, a graduate of Campbellsville Junior College, and Eastern Kentucky University. He received his master's degree from Oklahoma State University.

Survivors include his wife, Mae Adkins; a daughter, Joy Cutchins of Toccoa, Ga.; two sons, David Adkins of San Diego, Calif., and Tim Adkins of Bainbridge, Ga.; two brothers, Raymond Adkins of Harrodsburg and Ted Adkins of Mitchellsburg; two sisters, Alice Rentas of Perryville and Callie Inman of Springfield; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.


Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Colquitt First Baptist Church by the Rev. Don Bazel. Burial will be in Eternal Rest Memorial Gardens.

HARRODSBURG - Edith Lovett Alexander, 92, widow of Jack Alexander, died today at Harrodsburg Health Care Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Blanche H. Hurst

HARRODSBURG - Blanche Hayes Hurst, 86, of Cornishville Street, widow of Ben C. Hurst, died today at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.


Samuel S. Hays

Graveside services for Samuel Searles Hays Jr., 79, of Country Lane, were today at Bellevue Cemetery by the Rev. Ivan Shelburne. He died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Memorials may go to Boyle County Humane Society.
