'Passion' movie lifting Christ up in the world

March 08, 2004

Dear Editor:

Thank you for "Voice of the People." It is very interesting to read.

When Jesus was crucified over 2000 years ago, it was not long thereafter that 12 men (the Apostles) turned the world upside down for Christ. The church was born, and revival went around the world.

After watching the movie, "The Passion of The Christ," I remember what Jesus said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me." This movie is truly lifting him up in a world that seems to be letting him down. As a nation built upon the word of God and the morals he has set for us, are we forgetting God's pure Word, his love and mercy toward us?

This movie is good for all of us - Christians and non-Christians alike. We all need to repent and find the old path where right is right and wrong is wrong, and we know the difference. If the blind lead, we all fall into the ditch. But there are none so blind as those who won't see.

People should see and support this movie, and let's see the world turned upside down for Christ again - our nation, along with our churches, restored and revival around the world one more time.

Thank you Mel Gibson for your courage and vision to make this movie.
