Mykol Hamilton and David Hall both are misguided to say that I am relying on poor theology, thereby prooftexting scripture to make my point. I don't even see how one can misuse "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind," as Leviticus 18:22 says, or in the case of Romans 1:27, "and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error."
To me that seems pretty clear on how God views homosexuality, and if the Lord were to change His mind in the 21st Century and make homosexual marriage and/or homosexuality OK, He would owe the people of Sodom and Gomorrah one huge apology! But God is not a hypocrite, fortunately for us.
It is true that we are to "love thy neighbor as thyself," but as I have said before, this does not mean you are to approve of someone else's sinful lifestyle choices. After all, Jesus did tell the woman caught in adultery "go and sin no more." The modern left in this country makes Jesus out to be nothing more than a hippy teddy bear who would never tell anyone they were doing wrong.
