The Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County is sponsoring a new program titled Arts Passport. The program was created to reward attendance at local arts events and encourage the artists of the community.
Holders can present their passports for stamping at designated events, which makes them eligible for prize drawings after they have filled out two or more passport cards. The first drawing will be made in May.
Only two events presented by an on arts organization can be stamped on a single passport card.
The cost for a passport is $1. For more information, call arts commission executive director Ann Nichols at (859) 238-0063.
Here are the Arts Passport events through Saturday:
* "Nursery Rhymes, Fairy Tales and Shakespeare," presented by Arts for Kids, ETC and Danville/Boyle County 21st CCLC, 1 and 3:45 p.m. Thursday, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Gravely Hall, Danville High School.
