More than $6,000 in equipment taken

HARRODSBURG - Robert Patterson, 62, of 474 Ashley Drive, reported to police here that $6,291 in audio and golf equipment, binoculars, and a radar detector were taken from his vehicle Thursday which was parked in front of his home.

Garrard man jailed on drug charges

HARRODSBURG - Jefferson M. Scott, 44, of 59 Estes Drive, Lancaster, was arrested here following a traffic stop, police said.

Scott was charged with second offense driving under the influence of intoxicants, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.

Scott was stopped at Chilton's Garden Center Wednesday night for reckless driving, according to a Harrodsburg Police Department press release. He was found to be driving under the influence of intoxicants. A search of his 1996 red Dodge pickup turned up marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a press release says.


He was taken to the Boyle County Detention Center where he was released the next day on 10 percent of an $8,000 bond. Officer Jason Eldridge is the investigating officer.

Police arrest man on DUI charge

HARRODSBURG Charles Roger Phillips, 46, of 649 Cane Run St. is being held in the Boyle County Detention Center on charges of careless driving, first offense driving under the influence of intoxicants and menacing following his arrest Friday after a traffic stop.

Officer Scott Elder stopped Phillips' vehicle for several traffic violations. During the investigation, Phillips was found to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages, according to a Harrodsburg Police Department press release.

When told he was being arrested, police say he fled on foot and tried to get into his vehicle.

Bond is 10 percent of $4,000.

Wallet taken from man's pocket

HARRODSBURG - Frank Lawson, 76, of 453 Cane Run St., has reported to the Harrodsburg Police Department that someone took his wallet from his back pocket while he was asleep on his couch.

Lawson said he was awakened when he felt someone reach into his pocket and remove his wallet and leave his home through the back door. The brown wallet has a Masonic emblem on both sides. It contained $800 and a Chevron gasoline card.
