n The sixth annual Commonwealth Cleanup Week will be observed through Saturday. Boyle County is well equipped with four convenience centers that can handle almost all of the garbage you may have. n Boyle County Conservation District is giving away 5,000 tree seedlings in honor of Arbor Day. Of the 5,000 trees, 2,000 will be given to third-grade students in the Danville and Boyle County school systems, and 3,000 will be given to Boyle County landowners.
The give-away begins today and will continue until all of the trees are gone. Hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The office is at 3998 S. Danville Bypass. The seedlings, purchased from the Division of Forestry, include eastern redbud, yellow poplar, pin oak and white pine. There is a limit of 20 per landowner.
