Vernon Woford

Vernon Woford, 78, of Danville, died Tuesday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation. Arrangements are incomplete at Stith Funeral Home.

HARRODSBURG - Clell Claunch, 86, of Pleasant Hill Drive, Burgin, died Wednesday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Carolyn Ellison

LIBERTY - Carolyn Jean "Shorty" Ellison, 40, of Middleburg, died Monday at her home.

Born Sept. 25, 1963, in Taylor County, she was the daughter of S.L. and Betty Montgomery Williams of Liberty. She was a clerk at Kings Express and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.


Other survivors include her husband, Clay Ellison; a daughter, Beth Long of Liberty; three sisters, Cynthia Luttrell of Hustonville, Amy Warner and Bonnie King, both of Liberty; a brother, Kim Williams of Liberty; and a granddaughter.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard Catholic Church by the Revs. Thomas Clark and C.B. Carman. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Sallee, Chris and Michael King, James Ellison, Marty Dykes, Chris Morgan and Bobby Joe and Kim Williams.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Patsy T. Gustin

CRAB ORCHARD - Patsy Loretta Todd Gustin, 71, of Deep Well Woods Road, died today in Payneville.

Born April 5, 1932, in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Ernest W. Todd and Florence Saylor Halcomb. She was a homemaker and a member of Drakes Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Darlene Wilburn of Crab Orchard, Shearon K. Rutledge of Payneville, Aquitta M. Wilson of Junction City and Mona K. Whited of Liberty; three sons, William C. Todd of Phoenix City, Ala., Clyde D. Beatty of Payneville and Ernest W. Baker of Lexington; a brother, Ernest "Bud" Todd of Crab Orchard; a sister, Corine J. Hawkins of Fort Wright; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at McKnight Funeral Home by Monty Lynn. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles W. and Charles D. Rutledge, Daniel and David Beatty, Tony and Chancey Whited, Scott Bruner and Danny Wilson.

Visitation will be after 7 p.m. Thursday.

Mary B. King

LEXINGTON - Mary Margaret Baugh King, 86, of Stanford, died Tuesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Myrtle Flannery Baugh. She was a homemaker and a former owner and operator of Kings Skating Rink. She was a lifelong member of Fairview Baptist Church in Lincoln County.

Survivors include a daughter, Martena King McEwan of Nicholasville; a son, Garrett King of Stanford; a sister, Bertha B. Ernst of Stanford; a brother, James A. Baugh of Versailles; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Fairview Baptist Church by the Rev. Gary King. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Kenny L. Chitwood

MORELAND - Graveside services for Kenny Lee Chitwood, 54, of Hustonville, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Chitwood Cemetery.

He died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 31, 1954, in Winfield, Tenn. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include three daughters, Melissa, Brandi and Heather Chitwood, all of Florida; two sisters, Dorothy J. Mullins of Hustonville and Anna R. King of Pine Knot; and two brothers, Marty and Danny Chitwood, all of Winfield, Tenn.

W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James N. Fletcher

CRAB ORCHARD - Services for James Newton "Newtie" Fletcher, 68, of Crab Orchard, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at McKnight Funeral Home by Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in Simpson Cemetery in Dogwalk.

He died Monday at his home.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Brandenburg, Wayne and Travis Renner, Larry Mullins, Tony Dooley, Bobby Fletcher, Randy Eldridge and Everett Adams.

Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m. today.
