Boyle County Conservation District
Firewise Community Workshops teach you to prepare your home and property for a wildfire before it occurs. The interactive process helps identify areas at risk for potential wildfire hazards around your home and property and reduce the potential risks. You will learn how to assess your own home risks and how to work with community leaders in becoming a nationally recognized Firewise Community. For more information about the workshops and for times and locations, contact Shelly Graves at the Division of Conservation at (502) 564-3080 or call the Boyle County Conservation District at (859) 238-7451. Workshops are scheduled for June through September.
Farm Service Agency
As of Jan. 1, 1999, all payments issued by the county Farm Service Agency office are to be made by direct deposit (electronic funds transfer) to a pre-designated checking or savings account with your financial institution. Forms are available at the FSA office to sign up for direct deposit if you have not done so. For those already signed up, it is important to notify FSA anytime there is a change in your account number or financial institution. If FSA is not notified of changes, payments can be delayed or lost for a period of time.
