It seems like just yesterday that I was a senior at Boyle County High School. Actually, it's been about 11 years, and I am already in my fifth year as an English teacher at BCHS. Consequently, I have realized that even though the school has made many wonderful advances and improvements, I can honestly say that some things haven't changed all that much. Taco Salad Thursdays are still everybody's favorite lunch days, Mr. Camic is still one of the "coolest" teachers, and seniors still look forward to Project Graduation.
Project Graduation has always supplied our students with a fun and safe environment to celebrate many years of dedicated schoolwork. This tradition takes place the evening of graduation and allows students the chance to enjoy one last moment with their closest friends and classmates. They spend all night playing games, winning prizes, and eating good food, without the dangers of alcohol or drugs. In the past, all of this has been made possible by the generosity of parents, teachers, and friends in the community.
