LIBERTY - Casey's pitching and offense got untracked after a sluggish start and the Lady Rebels opened their season Monday with a 12-2 win over Campbellsville.
Casey (1-0) spotted Campbellsville two runs in the first inning, then scored all 12 of its runs in a four-inning span. The game was stopped after six innings by the 10-run rule.
"After we strated getting aggressive, I felt like we were able to take control of the ballgame," Casey coach Andy Stephens said. "We were able to finally get some runners on in the third."
Felicia Luttrell had two hits and three RBIs for the Lady Rebels, and Lindsey Wilson and Kelly Patton also had two hits each. Lindsey Wilson and Tori Clements, who had one hit, scored three runs each, and Laura Wilson drove in two runs.
