Christine Gregory

Christine M. Gregory, 87, of South Third Street, died today at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Pauline Smith

CRAB ORCHARD - Pauline Harris Smith, 67, of Crab Orchard, died Wednesday at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Smith. Arrangements are incomplete at McKnight Funeral Home.

Walter Cantrill

HARRODSBURG - Walter "Buddy" Cantrill, 85, formerly of Mercer County, died Tuesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.

Born Oct. 22, 1918, in Bourbon County, he was the son of the late Lewellen and Elizabeth C. Leonard. He was a farmer and Army veteran of World War II.


Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg by Gary Story.

There will be no visitation.

Alexander & Royalty Funeral is in charge of arrangements.


Terry Shannon

Services for William Terry Shannon, 60, of Gwinn Island Road, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Bausum. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville.

He died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born March 15, 1944, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Homer L. and Lillie Carrier Shannon. He was retired from Mathews Conveyor Co. and was a member of Salt River Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Brandi Valeu of Junction City; five brothers, Ricky Shannon of Lawrenceburg, Ronnie Shannon, Ray Shannon and Dale Lewis, all of Danville, and Melvin Shannon of Perryville; one grandson; and a companion, Louise Shannon.

Pallbearers will be Keith, Ryan, Brent, Jody, Jason and Brian Shannon.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
