After the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, did Congress appoint a special commission to investigate if the Roosevelt administration was aware of the danger and just what its priority was concerning the Japanese threat? Did they investigate into how it could have been avoided? I cannot recall any such action by Congress. I do recall that both political parties joined in the effort to defeat this invading force which threatened our nations existence. I see no such joint political effort in defeating the deadly terrorist force which invaded our nation on 9/11.
This so called investigation is nothing more than a political finger-pointing, election-year venture. If it had been known that terrorists were going to wage such an attack, action would have been taken, regardless of who or what political party was in power. If they wish to place blame they need only to turn that pointing finger 180 degrees toward themselves.
