Let's set the record straight. Mr. Daniel Fulton, in a letter published in your paper on April 7, 2004, declared that "the Bush team persuaded the Supreme Court to ignore thousands of minority votes and stole the White House" in 2000. Nothing is further from the truth. The U.S. Supreme Court voted 7-2 against the Florida Supreme Court's decision to invalidate the certification of the election in violation of that state's constitution. Mr. Fulton has been listening to Democrat propaganda too long.
As for Halliburton receiving billions of dollars for its work in Iraq, do you, Mr. Fulton, want Germans, French and Russians to get the jobs? Halliburton bid for and won a five-year contract to provide the United States government with services in 1999 before Bush became president.
He also claims that the Bush administration has enacted a classified energy policy designed by Enron. Where is your proof, Mr. Fulton? I doubt that you can find any. An energy policy designed to wean us from OPEC oil was denied by Congress. I don't recall seeing anything that a new energy policy has been implemented.
