I continue to disagree with Brian Cooney's liberal philosophy on politics and other subjects, which tend to debase the Godly moral standards of this country. He hopes Congress would impeach Bush - the one who brought moral respect back to the White House after Clinton dumped it in the garbage can.
In comparing President Bush to a "friend's" misrepresentation of an investment opportunity, we are misled by the absurdity of Brian's letter to believe that we have been deceived. It was our "friends," the French, Germans and Russians who were retrieving billions from Iraq illegally. It was alleged that some United Nations members were getting money under the table from Iraq, so the UN inspectors just wouldn't find any weapons of mass destruction that Saddam possessed. Who needs friends like this?
The war in Iraq was well-planned and the shortest invasion with the least losses in the history of wars. We honestly regret the cost in lives of more than 630 of our dear American soldiers, but keep in mind that our military people have volunteered to defend our country. The deaths in Iraq are magnified by comparing them to more than 50,000 deaths in the Vietnam War (started under a Democratic administration). In 2002, there were 42,000 deaths from U.S. vehicle accidents. We are reminded daily by the liberal media about the losses in this war to create favorable political votes for the Democrats in November.
