Lady Ads hurt by errors

Errors cost Danville twice on the opening day of the Lady Colonel Invitational Friday at Christian County.

The Ads had three errors in each game, losing 6-1 to Lone Oak and 6-2 to North Hardin.

Lone Oak scored five times in the top of the seventh inning to earn the win.

Each team had scored once in the fourth inning, but all six of Lone Oak's runs were unearned.

Jerrica Potts had two singles and scored Danville's lone run, while Renee Chiu had a double and an RBI.

Chelsea Wallace gave up eight hits, struck out five and walked none.

In their second game, the Ads gave up three runs in the first inning and could never get ahead.

North Hardin went on to score two more in the third and one in the fourth.

Danville's lone runs came in the second on RBIs from Potts and Billie Rehberg. Morgan Young had two singles for Danville.


Wallace gave up 11 hits, struck out two and walked none.

Only three of North Hardin's runs were earned.
