Beverly Brown

LIBERTY - Beverly Brown, 49, of Elkhorn, died today at her home. She was the wife of Willie Brown. Arrangements are incomplete at Bartle Funeral Home.

Virginia S. Russell

HARRODSBURG - Virginia Sims Russell, 69, of Burgin, wife if Shelby Russell, died today at her home. Arrangements are incomplete at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.


Ella B. Coffey

STANFORD - Services for Ella B. Coffey, 97, of Hustonville, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Glen Peck. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.


She died Thursday at Stanford House nursing home.

Born Dec. 27, 1908, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Lula Gifford Frederick. She was a homemaker, a member of McKinney Baptist Church and the widow of Alvora Coffey.

Survivors include a brother, Coleman Frederick of North Vernon, Ind.; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Clyde, Donald and Kenneth Coffey.

Pallbearers will be Gary Peck, Darryl Frederick, Chuck Smith, Larry Pike, Fred Reichenbach and Frank Wethington.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Ruth K. Davis

HARRODSBURG - Services for Ruth Kurtz Davis, 90, of Lexington Road, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

She died Thursday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.

Born May 1, 1913, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nora Voorhies Kurtz. She was a former nursing assistant and a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 24 years, was a choir member and had worked in missions. She was a former volunteer at Harrodsburg Health Care Center and was the widow of A.B. Davis

Survivors include two brothers, Clarence Kurtz and Jeff Kurtz, both of Harrodsburg.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Davis,

Nephews will be pallbearers.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Saturday.
