Harrodsburg wins

A five-run fourth inning helped push Mercer County past East Jessamine Monday at Nicholasville.

Mercer had five hits in the inning, including a double by Joe Collins, as the Scotties (9-9) batted around.

Michael Bottoms led Mercer with three hits, including a double, while Collins, Kameron McRay, Blake Yeager and Evan Ethington each had two hits.

Justin Morgan picked up the win in relief of starter Andy Potts.

Harrodsburg 15, North Hardin Christian 0 - At Harrodsburg, Josh Anderson had three hits and six RBI to lead the Pioneers to the four-inning victory.

Anderson had two doubles for Harrodsburg (3-10).

Andy McCrystal gave up one hit in four innings of work to pick up the win.

McCrystal struck out three and walked three.

Tim Lester tripled for Harrodsburg, while Seth Leeds added a double. Leeds and Freeman Edwards each had two hits for the Pioneers, who totaled 13 hits for the game.
