BURGIN - Mercer County got its bats going in the top of the first inning and the Scotties never slowed down.
Mercer scored in six of seven innings, including four runs each in the third and fifth innings, in defeating host Burgin 16-6 Tuesday.
The Scotties (10-9) moved over .500 for the first time this season by winning their 10th game in its last 14 outings.
Andy Potts had three singles, two RBIs and four stolen bases for Mercer, which stole eight bases against Burgin (7-8).
Blake Yeager had three hits, including a double, and John Wickliffe also had three hits. Both Yeager and Wickliffe scored four runs.
