Margaret W. Williams

Margaret Louise Wofford Williams, 92, died Tuesday at Charleston Health Care Center.

Born Nov. 26, 1911, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late John Y. and Nell Justus Wofford. She was a homemaker and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Williams of Danville and Robert Williams of Hamilton, Ohio; a brother, Leonard Wofford of Phoenix, Ariz., a sister, Ruth Wofford of Danville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Benningfield. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

Memorials may go to Centenary United Methodist Church building fund.

Bula Carter

WAYNESBURG - Bula Carter, 97, of Waynesburg, died today at Fort Logan Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home.


Elizabeth Davis

LANCASTER - Services for Elizabeth Davis, 88, of Wolf Trail, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. Glenn Spann and Howard Coop.

He died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born March 18, 1916, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Wilson Sparks. She was a homemaker and farmer, and a member of Gunns Chapel Methodist Church. She was the widow of Aubrey Davis.

Survivors include a son, Michael Davis of Lancaster; a sister, Macy Morris of London; and a grandchild.

Pallbearers will be David and Steve Simpson, Mark May, Jim Charfield, James Wilmont, O'Neal Murphy and Johnnie King.

Honorary pallbearers are women of Gunns Chapel Methodist Church.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Josie Joseph

LANCASTER - Services for Josie Joseph, 75, of Fall Lick Road, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ramsey Funeral Home by Willie Day. Burial will be in Dix River Cemetery.

She died Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital.

Born June 25, 1928, in Leslie County, she was the daughter of the late Ballard and Lizzie Howard Howard. She was a homemaker and a member of Dix River Church of Christ.

Survivors include four daughters, Dora Lee Morgan of Dayton, Ohio, Chris Wall of Stanford, Brenda Rice of Fort Smith, Ark., and Becky Burkhart of Crab Orchard; two sons, Kenny Morgan of Lancaster and Carlos Morgan of Crab Orchard; a sister, Gladys Lewis of London; three brothers, Earn Howard of Pineville, Bob Howard of Georgia, and Ervin Howard of London; her former husband, Willie Joseph of Lancaster; 22 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kenny, Tony, Tommy and Cory Morgan, Mark Burkhart, Willie Falconberry, Kevin and Brian Rice.

Honorary pallbearer is Josh Morgan.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Marie Lester

HARRODSBURG - Services for Marie Lester, 71, of Riverside Drive, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Greg Humpert. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

She died Tuesday at her home.

Born April 24, 1933, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Sadie Miller Alford. She was a homemaker and a member of Bruners Chapel Baptist Church.

He was the widow of William H. Lester.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis H. Lester of Burgin and William G. Lester of Harrodsburg; a sister, Nancy McElfresh of Danville; three brothers, Bill Alford of New York, Robert Alford of Harrodsburg and John Alford of Lexington; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Donnie, Doug, Clint, Duane and Walter Lester, Bob and Donnie Alford and David Moberly.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Friday.
