Jamie Sinkhorn

LEXINGTON - James R. "Jamie" Sinkhorn, 20, of Lexington, died Saturday.

Born Jan. 14, 1984, in Cincinnati, he was the son of Carla L. Lyttle and Richard Joe Sinkhorn. He was a 2002 graduate of Dunbar High School.

Others survivors include three brothers, Nicholas Gavin of Cincinnati and T.J. Schebor and Jonathan Schebor, both of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; a sister, Isabella Lawson of Santa Rosa Beach; and grandparents, Mildred Rothrock of Lexington, Madelyn Colson of Sun City, Fla., and Clyde Sinkhorn of Mitchellsburg.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland Drive.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to the American Heart Association.


Bula Carter

WAYNESBURG - Services for Bula Carter, 97, of New Salem, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Dale Sears and Jim England. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.


She died Thursday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Jan. 8, 1907, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Christopher Barger. She was a homemaker, a member of Waynesburg Free Pentecostal Church and the widow of John Neves and Ode Carter.

Survivors include a son, Phillip Carter of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Jeanette Pullum of Hustonville and Marge Little of Chicago, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Carter and John A. Neves; and two daughters, Bessie Greer and Helen Pruitt.

Pallbearers will be Greg Carter, Jamie Greer, Billy Phillips, Steve Pruitt, Arthur Greer and Jimmy Wren.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today.

Gladys O. Wilson

LIBERTY - Services for Gladys O. Wilson, 74, of Popplewell Street, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Morris Bryant.

Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

She died Tuesday at Beech Grove, Ind.

Born June 7, 1929, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late George and Jennie Monday Emerson. She was a homemaker and a member of New Testament Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie Persinger of Shelbyville, Ind.; a son, Steve Pennington of Shelbyville, Ind.; three sisters, Ruth Bryant, Chloe Lay and Hazel Sharp, all of Liberty; two brothers, Vitis Emerson of Liberty and Kermit Emerson of Mooresville, Ind.; four half sisters, Eula Ford, Imogene Hayes and Velma Martin, all of Liberty, and Leona Hayes of Florida; two half brothers, Wayne and Dale Emerson, both of Campbellsville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-great-grandchild.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Saturday.
