MOREHEAD - The ROTC Program at Morehead State University has one of the top military leaders in the country on its staff.
In the most recent of a series of national level award and honors for his department, Maj. (Ret.) Hollis D. "Wayne" Isham was selected to receive the Instructor of the Year award for the Army ROTC's Eastern region, which includes more than 290 colleges and universities east of the Mississippi River that offer military science courses. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Isham of Harrodsburg.
"Every school sends in an information packet for their best professor," said Capt. Joey Odell, assistant professor of military science. "It includes personal essays by the professor on the challenges of teaching and their greatest contribution as an instructor, information on the professor's achievements and contributions to the department and university, and a video of the professor in the classroom."
