BURGIN - Burgin scored 13 runs in its last three at-bats to roll to a 15-5 win over Sayre on Monday.
An inside-the-park grand slam by Taylor Bottoms in the bottom of the sixth inning capped the offensive outburst for the Lady Bulldogs (6-9).
"We've been struggling batting for the past week or so," Burgin coach Matt Grimes said. "It was nice to see us be able to put the bat on the ball and be able to hit the gaps."
Bottoms also had a triple and was the winning pitcher.
Grimes made some lineup changes, including Tiffany Shewmaker at third base and Amanda Carey at first base.
"We had several people play in different positions," he said. "I want people to know that no one has a starting spot.
