Lucien Hines

HARRODSBURG - Lucien Hines, 95, of Harrodsburg, died Wednesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at Parks Funeral Home.


George T. Alcorn

Services for George T. Alcorn, 79, of Crab Orchard, will be noon Saturday at Crab Orchard First Baptist Church by the Rev. Oliver Miller Jr. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

He died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

He was the widower of Ruby Owsley Alcorn.

Pallbearers will be James Vandiver, Clarence Gooch, Cecil Dunn, Bob Sparkman, Charles Mucker and Cabal Merritt.

Memorials may go to Crab Orchard Cemetery Fund, c/o James Vandiver, P.O. Box 134, Crab Orchard 40419.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday.


Darrell Barrett

STANFORD - Services for Darrell Barrett, 57, of Stanford, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home by Stewart Dawson. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

He died Wednesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Aug. 3, 1946, in Kingsport, Tenn., he was the son of the late Richard C. and Mary Alice Jones Barrett. He was a farmer, having graduated from University of Kentucky with a degree in agronomy. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Lincoln Lodge 60, Stanford Lions Club and Stanford Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Hamm Barrett; a son, Darren Barrett of Lascassas, Tenn.; a daughter, Conswella VanHook of Stanford; six sisters, Imogene Dawson and Ann Sears, both of Stanford, Wanda Thibo of Florida, Bernadean Chadwick and Dicie English, both of Georgia, and Theo Davidson of Churchill, Tenn.; three brothers, Ralph Barrett of Stanford, Elbert Barrett of Kingsport, and Clarence Barrett of Danville; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be members of Stanford Lions Club. Honorary pallbearers are nephews.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Montie B. Claunch

HARRODSBURG - Services for Montie Burton Claunch, 48, of Talmage-Mayo Road, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Elwood Norton, Barry Harmon and Lewis Walter. Burial will be in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

He died Tuesday at his home.

Born Oct. 20, 1955, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of J.B. and Jean Claunch of Mercer County. He was a supervisor of roadside maintenance for the state Transportation Cabinet and a volunteer for Terrapin Fire Department for 18 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Mercer County High School, a member of the Bluegrass Horse-Pullers Association and Mount Hebron United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include two brothers, Kevin Claunch and Gerald Claunch, both of Mercer County.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Claunch, Tony, Joseph, Jeffrey and Scotty Sanders, Sonny Hamlin, Brandon Clem and John Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers are members of Terrapin Volunteer Fire Department and Marty Claunch.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and after 7:30 a.m. Friday.

Temple D. Dunn

STANFORD - Services for Temple Dowden Dunn, 87, of Arlington, Va., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Salem Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.

He died Monday in Arlington, Va.

Born Oct. 23, 1916, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Temple H. and Ione Dowden Dunn. He was a retired teacher and church organist and had worked at Bureau of Standards in Washington, D.C. He was a 1940 graduate of the University of Louisville with a degree in physics. He was the widower of Alice Cuemile Vinson Dunn, formerly of Lincoln County.

Survivors include two sons, Temple J. Dunn and Gerrel H. Dunn, both of Arlington, Va.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Fox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Grace D. Horn

HARRODSBURG - Services for Grace Dohoney Horn, 85, of Lexington, formerly of Harrodsburg, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Craig Loscalzo, Glen Cummins and Walter Price. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

She was the daughter of the late Robert G. and Octavia Dohoney and the stepdaughter of the late Bertha Edwards Dohoney.

She died Tuesday at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

Pallbearers will be Todd Hord, Troy Horn, Dana Biggs, Junior Broyle, Jason Bruner and David Traynor.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and after 7:30 a.m. Friday.
