HARRODSBURG - Burgin scored four times in the top of the seventh inning to pull away in a 7-3 win over host Harrodsburg Wednesday.
The Bulldogs (9-9) led 3-1 heading into the seventh inning, but put four runs up in that frame to gain a more comfortable lead.
Singles by Jordan Darland and Shane Trayner were followed by a two-run triple by Zack Gross. Sean Bottoms knocked him in with a single, then scored on a hit by Josh Carey.
Harrodsburg (4-14) scored twice in the bottom half, but it wasn't enough.
Daniel Howard picked up the win for Burgin by scattering eight hits, including a double, walking three and striking out one in 4 2/3 innings. Gross pitched the final 2 1/3 innings, striking out six and walking four.
