STANFORD - A Crab Orchard teenager is facing charges after police said he intentionally rammed the cruiser of a Lincoln County sheriff's deputy.
Kentucky State Police said Samuel Cooper, 18, was parked on Ky. 52 in Garrard County about 2:30 a.m. Saturday with no lights on when he was approached by Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Toby Henderson.
Cooper, said the KSP, turned his car around, rammed Henderson's cruiser with his 1990 Buick Park Avenue and fled westbound. About two miles later he ran off the road, hit a fence on the property of David Moss and overturned.
Cooper was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, reckless driving, wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading a police officer, assault, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and numerous traffic and vehicle violations.
