Casey voting place changed

LIBERTY - The Casey 11 voting precinct on Ky. 501 has been moved, County Clerk Eva S. Miller announced.

Voters in the precinct usually cast ballots at Byrd's Grocery on Ky. 501 but will have to drive a short distance to Phelps Elementary School to vote in the May 18 Primary. The Casey 1 precinct also votes at the school.

Miller said parking had become a problem at the grocery store.

Toliver Elementary School Council - 3:30 p.m. Thursday for a special called meeting in the library media center. The agenda includes Title I priorities and staffing for 2004-2005.

Danville City Commission - 8 a.m. Tuesday at city hall. The special meeting agenda includes water and sewer utility budget, general fund budget overview, department capital presentations and Davis zone change.

In the May 18 primary for Danville City Commission, voters will be able to choose up to four candidates. A sample ballot in Sunday's legal ads was incorrect. Eight of nine of the candidates will proceed to the November election.
