One of the most precious gifts we can give to others is the gift of our time. April 28-May 1, Heritage Hospice was the recipient of this gift given by the Boyle County Rebels when the football team again volunteered to help with Hospice's annual plant sale. These young men quietly, efficiently, and courteously carried out each and every task asked of them. Our hats are off to the BCHS football team! Another BCHS student, not on the football team, was also a tremendous help. This young man worked diligently, donating many hours during the plant sale. We truly appreciate his willingness to help others. Thanks Justin!
Several individuals and businesses donated funds for sandwiches, donuts, cookies, and soft drinks for the Hospice volunteers. Our thanks to Greenline Implement, Inc., Mark Brown Auto Body, Inc., Farmers Tobacco Warehouse, Danville Office Equipment, Pizza Hut, VendFresh, David Camic, Sandra West and Rick Brown for all the delicious food. The goodies were a welcome treat during each of the long days. (A few of the volunteers mentioned they had gained a pound or two!)
