A Danville man was killed Friday after his truck rolled back while he was working under it. According to Boyle County Sheriff's Deputy Brian Wofford, 36-year-old David W. Carmicle, of Bluegill Road, died when his Ford pickup rolled down an embankment at his home. Carmicle's head was struck by the front axle of the truck, and he suffered a broken neck.
Boyle County EMS and the Danville Fire Department were called to the scene, where Wofford said Carmicle was non-responsive. Wofford said he believed the coroner would rule the death as accidental.
